📋 Recording Protocol & Tips ▾
- 📏 Distance: Safely open hood; hold phone 12–18 inches from suspected area. Do not touch hot engine components.
- ⚙️ State: Engine at normal operating temp and steady idle (unless testing throttle-dependent noise).
- 🔇 Environment: Turn off A/C, radio, and cabin fan. Avoid high-wind drafts or loud shop compressors.
- ⏱️ Duration: Record about 10 seconds (minimum 5). Recording stops automatically at 15 seconds, and your screen stays on while recording.
